Based in Melbourne, Australia, Natalie Jeffcott is a professional freelance photographer.
Having received her Bachelor of Arts in Photography from RMIT in 2001, and a Diploma of Visual Merchandising from RMIT TAFE, she currently provides her trademark imagery for Australian magazines including Frankie, Smith Journal and SPACES. In conjunction with those publications from Frankie Press, Natalie created both still imagery and video footage based on briefs working with the editorial teams. Natalie enjoys the variety of both natural location shots with other studio sets constructed with artificial lighting.
Natalie has been a long-term contributor to the popular lifestyle website Apartment Therapy, where much of her distinct interiors imagery has been featured.
Additionally, Natalie contributes her time as a volunteer photographer for the ASRC, where she works with the marketing teams to create social media content and other promotional assets.
From 2016 to 2018, Natalie was the Account Director for the Australian branch of Stocksy, where she was recruited after three years spent on the website uploading her own photography for commercial licensing.
Natalie’s distinct style combines her loves of travel, art and design, offbeat wandering, history, nostalgia and all things vintage. While you’re visiting the website, have a browse through the prints Natalie has for sale in the shop. If you find an image you can’t purchase, please get in touch with her directly.
Locals familiar with the Melbourne design community will no doubt recognise Natalie as one half of the retail phenomenon that was Arthur’s Circus. From 2007 until 2010, Natalie and her partner Nicholas turned their passion for vintage into a retail reality, their shop having been featured in online publications and magazines all over the globe.
From 2010 until 2014, Arthur’s Circus was an online venture only, which accelerated Natalie’s understanding of all things digital. Both Natalie and Nicholas still have a strong vintage influence to their style and their love of vintage remains to this day.
As a digital-savvy, organised individual, Natalie loves working to a brief with external creative direction or in collaboration as a team. With over 15 years of photographic experience across a wide variety of clients and genres, Natalie can provide editorial content, documentary portraiture, interior shoots, food and product photography. Natalie can even contribute further using her skills as a Prop Maker and Visual Merchandiser for added value.
